Times change, but one thing stays the same: a man gets older and complains about technology and society.  Dave is struggling with the push for the "met averse" and wanting to ever delineate reality and the virtual world.  But why?  Life is pretty great, even with its faults.  Why would you want to wear glasses or a headset to basically do what we all do in a day...nothing?
